Both airports broke record lows two days in a row. BWI reached 5 degrees on Monday, breaking a 10-degree record set in 2009.
On Monday, the temperature dipped to 1 degree at Dulles, breaking a 12-degree record for the day set in 1980. The -1 degree low for Tuesday breaks a 6-degree record for that day set in 1980. On Monday, Dulles also matched a 4.9-inch snowfall record set in 1978.
