FCPS to Participate in USDA Summer Food Service Program
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) will participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) summer food service program for children, a program established to ensure that students who qualify for free and reduced price meals during the school year continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. Free meals that meet federal nutrition guidelines will be provided to children at approved sites throughout Fairfax County.
Meals will be provided to all children without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for every child regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital or family status, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals may be provided, pending qualification, at the sites and times listed at this link http://commweb.fcps.edu/newsreleases/newsrelease.cfm?newsid=2310
