Police Investigate West End Bank Robbery
The TD Bank on South Van Dorn Street was robbed Wednesday afternoon.

Alexandria Police say they are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon at a TD Bank located at 557 South Van Dorn St.
Around 1:55 p.m. a man entered the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money, according to the Alexandria police. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the bank, which is located near the intersection of South Van Dorn and South Pickett streets, police reported. There were no injuries.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703-746-6711.
This is the third bank robbery in the past few weeks in Alexandria. A SunTrust bank on Duke Street was robbed, and a TD Bank near Old Town was robbed—both in May. An arrest was made in the second case.
