Thursday night the school board spent about an hour debating whether to give cafeteria workers money for lost wages due to snow days.
The proposal was to take $200,000 from "savings" which came from bus fuel not being used on two of the snow days.
Cafeteria workers, unlike teachers and bus drivers, are not paid for snow days.
So here is my question.
If the workers weren't paid for those two days, isn't that savings?
Why not use that? Why claim to pull money from transportation?
Are these people really this dumb?
