I ran across the staff roster of an elementary school and was struck by the disparity of classroom teachers and others on the staff. Did a very qucik analysis and found that of 117 staff for this school:

classroom instructors 38 32%
non-educational staff 21 18% (cafeteria staff, custodians, etc)
instructional assistant 16 14%
non-classroom instructors 39 33% (band, art, PE, speech, etc)
Administrators 3 3%

So there are more non-classroom educational staff that classroom teachers.
