Go Big and Go Home
Large Shelter Dogs Discounted This Month
The Fairfax County Animal Shelter has received an influx of large dogs in recent weeks and is now offering a half-off discount for all adoptive dogs over 40 pounds through the month of September.
Here, in the midst of football season, consider huddling up with a new best friend as you enjoy the weekend games together. Perhaps you’d prefer to play a game of catch out in the beautiful September sunshine? Many of the large dogs are very active, need exercise, and want nothing more than human companionship.
If you have room in your home and your heart, consider adopting a large breed dog. Many are loyal, friendly and highly sociable and can be wonderful additions to the family.
Visit the Shelter this weekend at 4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax, 22030. The Shelter is opened until 7 p.m. on Fridays and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
