TED is a very strong philanthropic organization located in California. TED holds "Events" with notable speakers around the world. As given in their website at TED.ORG< they have an event coming up in North Africa I tihnk end of summer. It's a great way to add to community vitality, and connect the community B2B (business to business) and C2C (community to community_.

I set up a TED Profile about a year, and participate in a TED conversation may be once or twice each week under "IDEAS", "QUESTIONS" or "DEBATE" Topics.
It's a great format and a free tool for people to use to gain knowledge, wisdom and be part of a community as each of so choose.
