Without naming whom I work for and what my occupation is, I'd like to get a little advice. Perhaps it's the wrong place to look but let's see. I've been at said company for almost 3 years now. I am multi-lingual and fluent in all 3 languages I speak. The other day while perusing the company's internal job-listings I noticed that there was a the same job-title as mine but with the addendum of "bi-lingual" attached to it that also happen to pay a slightly higher hourly pay. Now my question would be: Is there any legal ground for them to be obligated to raise my pay and adjust my employee title? Take into consideration I use my talents everyday in order to communicate with customers that my english-only counterparts would not be able to cater to.
